A lucky group of Flexi-Coil customers and dealers journeyed to Canada in July, experiencing a once-in-a-lifetime trip to celebrate their support of the Flexi-Coil brand and see the where the legacy of the brand is built.
The 35 guests included customers who earned their spot during the “Join the Stampede" promotion late last year by purchasing selected Flexi-Coil models as well as dealer staff who demonstrated outstanding performance during the promotional period.
Aaron Bett, Business Director – Agriculture ANZ for CNH Industrial, said it was a rare opportunity for some of their leading customers and dealers to connect with Flexi-Coil’s brand heritage in Canada and see machine developments firsthand during the jam-packed 10-day itinerary.
“We wanted to create a special experience and show our appreciation of their support, plus for them to be able to take away some insights and learnings they can apply right back into their day-to-day, with some other unforgettable experiences thrown in as well.”
Among the customers was South Australian lentil farmer Skeet Lawson, who says a highlight of the trip was being able to see firsthand where the equipment he uses on his farm is built and assembled.
“It really opened my eyes to how much thought and detail goes into the whole process. I’ve just purchased a new Flexi-Coil 6100 Precision Disc™ Drill and seeing the thoroughness and detail that goes into assembly gave me so much confidence in our purchase and the brand that backs the equipment,” he says.
“Another highlight was the networking and the relationships we all formed. It was a great mix of people from different backgrounds, farming types and ages, and the CNH team made sure each and every one of us took something valuable away from the experience. We all were able to connect and share insights with each other, and some of us have even planned to catch up again in the next few weeks.”
The group also got to attend the Ag in Motion field days, the largest seeding field day in North America.
“We wanted to be able to give the group the opportunity to see how a field day looks in another region and see the latest machine developments and technologies for seeding and agriculture that are coming out in Canada and North America,” Aaron says.
“We got to see a few of the new products that CNH are bringing to Australia, which piqued all of our interest. The new air cart caught my eye, the simplicity of the design and its features, I’ll be looking forward to that one coming to Aussie shores,” Skeet says.
To top off the trip, the group took in the unique sights and scenes that Canada has to offer.
“We planned some fun activities for the group, including a trip to the Rocky Mountains, a must do when in Canada, plus a couple of days at the Calgary Stampede, one of the world’s largest rodeo events,” Aaron says.
Cities visited included Vancouver, Whistler, Kamloops, Banff, Calgary, and Saskatoon, while adventures included ziplining across the Whistler ski resort, an icefield adventure tour of Banff, whitewater rafting and a special ‘farm to fork’ dinner held on Beaver Creek Conservation and led by Meewasin Valley, a non-for-profit organisation that focuses on land conservation around the Saskatoon province. The dinner included a guided tour around the prairie, where the group learnt about Saskatoon farming methods, and a three-course meal which featured locally sourced produce from the region.
